Strengthening Inclusiveness Committees: 2013 Series

An Inclusiveness Committee is the mechanism by which inclusiveness work will get done in your organization. As leader of that committee, it is important that you feel supported and empowered in your role. This series of workshops gives you the opportunity to learn about promising practices in the field, develop new skills, and share ideas with other inclusiveness committee chairs.

No matter where your organization is in bringing inclusiveness into practice, these sessions will help build your capacity as a chairperson.

The schedule of meetings in this series is as follows:

January 17, 2013: Culture, Courage, and Conversation-building capacity to have healthy and productive conversations related to inclusiveness, racial equity, and other relevant issues; using dialogue as a tool for understanding; exploring the norms that govern organizational cultures; navigating blow-ups; role of white allies. See Notes from this session.

March 21, 2013: Inclusiveness Training Plans. See Notes from this session.

May 16, 2013: Beyond Training: Ideas for Integrating Inclusiveness
