Produced by the Institute for Democratic Renewal Of Claremont Graduate University and Project Change, this work highlights efforts of 15 U.S. based anti-racism/diversity projects. Each project exihibited three key elements: acknowledging and undoing racism, building a sense of community, and doing the work of democracy. The process identified in the handbook sets the stage for this work. This toolkit is intended for individuals and groups who want to improve their ability to organize a community to solve some of its most pressing problems, especially those that have not yet brought racism into the fore and/or who have not yet identified specific community outcomes.
